Corresponding to the working style unique to the overseas IT companies
It is a renovation project for the Finnish gaming company’s Tokyo branch. We collaborated with architectural design firm Firm 151 (Portland, Oregon, USA) specializing in interior design. Locating the fashion-centered Aoyama, 120 square meter outdoor terrace and a balcony overlooking the Jingumae area makes a strong statement, surrounding the office of approximately 320 m².
In order to realize corporate identity as an office space, we focused on expressing raw texture by using wood flooring, glass and metal heavily. While using the corporate / black color as a keynote, use of a colorful dressing color cloth accentuates the space.
We have set up places where external engineers work with free addresses to respond to the unique way of work of international IT companies. We also set up a digging meeting space (horigotasu) and devised a way to realize sound absorption and sound insulation while being a glass-enclosed space where the sounds echoed. Gaming company, naturally, requires many special AV equipment. We finished in a space quite different from the ordinary office in Japan (Unfortunately I can not show you the inside view due to contract arrangement).
